Joanie
Gaugh
March 3, 1945 – June 28, 2017
Joanie Gaugh, nee Huff, 72, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Gaugh, daughter of the late Ollie Huff and wife Helen nee Current was born March 3, 1945 in St. Clair.
On December 12, 1964, she was united in marriage to Dennis Gaugh in St. Clair.
Joan was a wonderful wife, admirable mother, tremendous sister, loving aunt and remarkable friend.
Jesus was evident in her life, as in Him she put her faith. As a Christian, she was devoted to the teachings of the Scripture. The fruit of the Spirit was illustrated in living and thinking. She was full of compassion and understanding and exhibited gentleness in her obvious wisdom. She had a way of offering overwhelming encouragement as she always spoke with truth and sincerity. She always had a listening ear, and a loving way about her. Her friendship and companionship cannot be matched. She enjoyed fishing the most in her life, and spent many days and nights on the river with her loving husband. Without question she was a best friend to her daughter. She loved being a waitress and eating out. She enjoyed coloring books in her final days, as she would watch her favorite television show. One of the most admirable characteristics of this inspiriting woman was her sense of humor, she never failed to make all of us laugh. In this way, she will truly be remembered. She was a woman people trusted, and desired to listen to. Her lips were full of grace and mercy and astonishing forgiveness that is rare. She loved her family including her wonderful dogs and her Savior in whom with she will spend all of eternity, walking.
Mrs. Gaugh was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Helen Huff.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Gaugh of St. Clair; son, Chety Gaugh of Union; daughter, Tina Gaugh of St. Clair; sister, Phyllis Dazey of St. Clair; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and many friends.
