Jo Ann Zlatnik passed away on August 6, 2024. She was born December 30, 1935 to Harry and Nelly Glenn. Her husband of 64 years, Roger, passed away on September 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Richard.  Sons Bret Zlatnik, wife Donna (St. Louis, MO) and Craig Zlatnik, wife Barbara (Houston, TX) survive; son Aaron Zlatnik, wife Cathy (Topeka, KS) is deceased. There are six grandchildren (Sarah, Zoey, Weston, Cody, Andrea and Amber) and six great grandchildren (Eva, Aaron, Theo, Ezra, Guthrie, and Kelce). Jo Ann grew up in Lecompton, Kansas on land farmed by her family.

Jo Ann served many years as director of the Page program for the Kansas Legislature at the Kansas State Capitol. Her passions included gardening in her stunning backyard and home décor; her beautiful Christmas decorations were beloved by her family along with her Santa Christmas cookies. Halloween was another favorite holiday and her porch and home decorations were enjoyed by countless children in Topeka. She was a long-time member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Over many years in the Spring, Roger and Jo Ann would take care of the church grounds, beautifying it with flowering plants.

The family extends their thanks to the neighbors, family and friends in Topeka that watched over Jo Ann in her final years.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, October 26 from Noon until 3p.m. at Lake Shawnee Garden House, 3799 SE Yacht Ct, Topeka, KS 66606. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
