Jimmy Lawrence, 77, of Union, passed away Wednesday September 9, 2020 in Washington.

On September 11, 1942, Jimmy was born to the union of Ervin Lawrence and Ruth (Merten) in Labadie.

Jimmy attended Spring Bluff Grade School and was part of the graduating class of 1961 at Sullivan High School.

On February 23, 1963, Jimmy was united in marriage to Betty (West) at First Assembly of God Church in Sullivan.

Jimmy worked for Wagner Electric in St. Louis and retired from Boeing after 31 years.

He enjoyed gardening and yardwork. Jimmy also loved to go fishing and to talk about the Lord. Most of all Jimmy loved his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Ruth Lawrence; one brother, Denver Lawrence; one sister, Laura Mae Jones; Father and Mother In-Law, Ed and Ruby West; one brother-in-law, Dale West.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Lawrence of Union; one son, Dale Lawrence of Union; one brother, Paul Lawrence of Sullivan; one half-brother, Jerry Haggard of Bland; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
