James "Jim" Evans, 75, of Lonedell, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
On December 30, 1946, Jim was born to the union of Wilburn Evans and Margrett (Richardson) in Florida.
Jim was united in marriage on August 25, 1972, in Parma, Missouri to Nancy (Aylward).
In his younger years, Jim enjoyed working on cars; he loved anything with a motor. Jim was a machinist by trade and was also a collector of many things. Jim loved spending his time with his family and friends. He also loved spending time outdoors, especially when he was able to go hunting or fishing. Mark Twain Lake was one of his favorite places to spend time at, and if he wasn't at home, that's where he could be found. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Margrett Evans; two step-brothers, Johnny Richardson and Carl Johnson; one sister, Virginia Chidester.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Evans of Lonedell; two sons, Ron Evans and wife Sheila of St. Louis and Danny Evans of Spickard; three daughters, Pamela Moon and husband Jeffrey of Union, Carrie Evans of Florida and Melinda George and husband Steve of Grubville; brother, Daniel Evans and wife Gayle of Illinois; two step-brothers, Calvin Walton of Portageville and Danny Walton of St. Charles; two step-sisters, Sharon Lane of St. Charles and Ann Call of Portageville; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association.
