Jewell Bacon nee Garland, 64 of Bonne Terre passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Bonne Terre.

Mrs. Bacon, daughter of the late Melvin Garland and wife Margaret nee Mulberry was born March 19, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri.

She was previosly employed at St. John's Mercy and Cedar Crest Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Assistant.

She was of the Christian Faith and member of the Doe Run Baptist Church. Jewell a mother, grandma, & friend who touched the lives of all she met. Her eyes always upon The Lord; can be described as a Godly woman and prayer warrior. She will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Bacon was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Margaret Garland; two brothers, William Garland and Jerry Garland and one sister, Wealthea Jane Pehle.

She is survived by three daughters, Michelle Pate and husband Jason of Union, Sharon Bacon of Farmington and Patricia Higgins and husband Shawn of Tipton, MO; one brother, James Garland and wife Pat of Lebanon, IN; two sisters, Janice Bacon of Union and Marlene Ouellette and husband Joe of Villa Ridge; nine grandchildren, Amber Muir, Tyler Pate, Alyssa Pate, Brianna Pate, Ryan Schwartzkopf, Taylor Schwartzkopf, Ashtyn Higgins, Megan Higgins and Grace Higgins; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
