Jesse
Althen
July 30, 1980 – February 8, 2026
Jesse Lee Althen, of Washington, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 45 years. He was born July 30, 1980, in Washington; the son of Michael Althen and his wife, Mary (Kase).
Jesse received his education from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis, graduating with an associate degree in precision machining technology. He was employed at Orizon Aerostructures in Fenton. He was united in marriage to Teresa (Miller) on November 1, 2003, at St. Peters United Church of Christ in New Haven. The couple settled in Washington, and two sons blessed their union.
Jesse was an active member of the Hummingbird Club in Washington, and he loved hanging out with his friends and family. He took pride in the motorcycle that he built and enjoyed going for rides. He was also an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time with his sons either target practicing, shooting his bow and arrow, or working the land.
Jesse's greatest joys in life were his family, who meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he proudly and often mentioned. He worked hard to make sure they were taken care of and felt loved every day.
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Althen, of Washington; his parents, Michael and Mary Althen, of New Haven; two sons, Ian Althen, of Washington, and Keith Althen, of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; one sister, Sarah Althen, of Livingston, Montana; parents-in-law, Terry Miller, of New Haven, and Marilyn Hassell, of St. Peters; two sisters-in-law, Sherri Cash and husband Cecil, of Middleton, and Dawn Moncey and husband Craig, of Quincy, Illinois; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at Triple 3 Vineyard, located at 3665 Sunny Road, Washington, Missouri, 63090.
