Jerry L. Jones, 63, of Pacific, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
On May 19, 1959, Jerry was born to the union of Harvey Jones and Mamie (Lewis) in Washington, Missouri.
Jerry attended St. Clair School District.
On February 2, 1979, Jerry was united in marriage to Vicki (Erickson) in Creston, Iowa.
Jerry worked as an over the road truck driver for over 35 years, dedicating his life and skills of navigating the road to several companies such as Russell-Vitt Moving, Creech Brothers, O & S Trucking, Woody Bogler and Climate. He worked hard to provide and support his family.
He enjoyed fishing and camping. Most of all, Jerry loved spending time with his family, especially his children, nieces and nephews. Jerry was the definition of a family man, and he saw to it that his family was cared for and loved. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mamie Jones; three sisters, Linda Foster, Joyce Ochsenbine and Yorka Jones; one brother, Harvey Jones Jr.; one brother-in-law, Jim Ochsenbine.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Vicki Jones of Pacific; four sons, Joseph Jones and fiancé Serena Chenowth of Viburnum, James Jones an wife Dawn of St. Charles, Stephen Jones of Pacific and Daniel Jones and fiancé Megan Peasel of Union; two daughters, Vanessa Thompson and husband Terry of Pacific and Kimberly Jones of Pacific; daughter-in-law, Deb Jones of Villa Ridge; ten grandchildren, Zachary Jones, Riley Jones, Parker Jones, Emersyn Jones, Truitt Downey, Cameron Downey, Chase Kluesner, Edward Austin, Meagan Thompson and Nia Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Mya, Aria and Makaii; special nieces and nephews and their families, Kenny, Dennis, Randy, Tammy, Stacy and Carrie Ann; other relatives and many friends.
Memorial donations are appreciated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
