Jerry Leon Hickam passed away at his home after a long illness on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 80 years. He was born in St. Louis, MO on March 30, 1944 to the late John and Romaine Hickam.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Leon Hickam, Jr.; one grandson, Zachary Ryan Hickam; and two sisters: Betty Bley and Shirley Tucker.

He is survived by one daughter, Laura Schroeder; two grandsons: Mark Joseph Moss and Nathan Andrew Hickam; three sisters: Joann Sunderman, Sandra Cone, and Lorean (Brian) Finley; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to also acknowledge Jerry's extraordinary caregiver, whom she lovingly called Grandpa, Dominee Foster; and his two loyal and lifelong friends, who were there until the end, Tom Fetters and Paul Hackenwerth; and many other dear friends.  May God bless you all.
