Jerry C. Fonner 73, of St. Clair passed away, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at his home. Mr. Fonner, son of the late Gerald Fonner and wife Marie nee Sewell was born April 15, 1941 in Lapeer, Michigan. On January 15, 1965 he was united in marriage to Ramona Dawn Garrett in Mattoon, Illinois. Mr. Fonner served his country in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963 receiving an honorable discharge. He was the former owner of Batteries R Us in Washington after starting the business in 2009. His memberships include, Life Time Member of the Masonic Lodge in Trilla, IL, Elks Club and American Legion both in Washington, MO. Mr. Fonner was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Marie Fonner; one sister, Janice Strater and one brother-in-law, Ronald Wickiser. He is survived by his wife, Ramona Dawn Fonner of St. Clair; his son, Dandon Fonner CWO4 of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Jane Wickiser of Allendale, IL; one brother, Joe Fonner and wife Teresa of Lerna, IL; three grandchildren, Brianna Fonner, Kyle Fonner and wife Vanessa and Mallory Fonner all of San Diego, CA; great-granddaughter, Maryana Fonner; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
