Jerry Mac Cottrell, 79, of Fairfax, Virginia passed away at his home on April 11, 2017.

Mr. Cottrell, son of the late Jerry and Faye Cottrell was born September 23, 1937 in Miami, Oklahoma.

On September 30, 1961, he was united in marriage to Denise Cerella in Pacific, Missouri.

Jerry was a Chaplain at the Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge No. 120 and a Stephen Minister in the United Methodist Church.

Mr. Cottrell was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Denise Cottrell.

He is survived by two daughters, Jerise Mares of Concord, N.H and Jeneth Blackert and husband Joe of Austin, TX; his second wife, Eleanor Wise Cottrell of Fairfax, VA; two sisters, Marcia Short of Ranches, FL. and Judy Williams of Davie, FL; four grandchildren Jason Blackert, Shaye Mares, Camron Mares, and Julia Blackert.
