Jerome Curtis “Jerry” Roberts, 86, of Villa Ridge, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri.

Jerry was born on April 20, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Curtis Roberts and Cerona (Oehlert) Roberts. On April 7, 1962, he married the love of his life, Mary J. Roberts, in Washington, D.C. Together they shared many wonderful years until her passing on June 24, 2026.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring with the rank of First Sergeant after 20 years of dedicated military service. Following his military career, he worked for McDonnell Douglas before retiring from the aircraft manufacturing industry.

Jerry had a passion for classic cars, especially his beloved 1948 Ford Coupe. He was an active member of several car clubs and enjoyed attending car shows whenever he could. He was also a proud member of the Shriners, the Masons, and the VFW. Above all, Jerry loved dogs and cared for many throughout his life. His faithful companion, Bella, survives him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Roberts; his brothers, Clifford Roberts and Eugene Roberts; and his parents.

Jerry is lovingly survived by his children, Michele (Carl) Sondker of St. Louis, Missouri, Cherlynn (Kenny) Boyer of De Soto, Missouri, Jay (Elizabeth) Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jerry (Judy) Roberts of Ballwin, Missouri; his brother, Norman (Cherri) Roberts of Fenton, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; along with many extended family members, friends, and fellow car enthusiasts who will dearly miss him.

In keeping with Jerry's generous spirit, he selflessly donated his body to the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis to further medical education and research.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jerry will be remembered for his service to his country, his love for his family, his passion for classic automobiles, and the kindness he shared with everyone who knew him.
