Obituary

Jeffery Brian Leach of Washington, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 78, after bravely battling lymphoma. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Jefferson and Lorraine (Bryan) Leach and was lovingly raised by his mother and devoted stepfather, Walter “Lucky” Luchsinger in Union, Missouri.

On June 30, 2001, Jeff was united in marriage to Barbara Lorenz, who remained his loving partner and companion throughout their nearly 25 years together.

Jeff will be fondly remembered for his passion for Cardinals baseball and his treasured Star Trek collection. A proud patriot, he honorably served his country in the United States Navy as a radioman aboard the USS Grant County (LST-1174). Following his military service, he dedicated many years to Chrysler in Fenton, where he worked as a welder repairman until his retirement.

Jeff was a faithful member of Life Stream Church and deeply valued his involvement in the church’s men’s small group, where he formed many meaningful friendships and found great fellowship.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, of Washington; daughter, Rachel (Brad) Shultz of Bend, Oregon; and son, Brian (Laura) Leach of St. Peters. He was the cherished stepfather of Brenda (Barry) Parker of Labadie; and Elizabeth (James) Mills of Springfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law Faith Harris of Bismarck; proud grandfather of Eddie and Henry Leach and Benjamin Mills; and dear brother of Julie (Robert) Endsley of Illinois.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Brian Harris.

Memorials may be made at the church to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Life Stream Church Missions Fund
