Agnes "Jeanie" (Gross) Buscher of Washington, MO passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the age of 73 years.  Jeanie was born February 14, 1952, in Boonville, MO; the daughter of Ray Gross and his wife, Clara (Eichols).

Jeanie received her education from the St. Francis Borgia Schools in Washington.  She was united in marriage to Michael Buscher on January 23, 1970, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Washington and the couple recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Gildehaus Church in Villa Ridge.

Jeanie had many talents, and they were most evident in her career choices. She became the manager of her family's grocery store, Gross Market in Washington, after her father's passing.  She also worked as an accountant before running a successful horse breeding business with Michael.  For 20+ years, they raised Appaloosa horses from their farm until Jeanie retired from showing in 2000.  After which, she ran a dive business in Cozumel, Mexico until this past July when Jeanie retired.

Jeanie had many interests, one of which was bicycle riding, which she took up for her health but came to find out she really excelled.  In 2017 and 2018, she participated in the Grand Fundo New York bicycle race in Cozumel and placed 2nd one year, and 3rd the next, in a large field in her age group.

Jeanie was a giver.  She would help anyone and never asked for anything in return.  She loved her family and cherished the time spent with them particularly watching her grandchildren's sporting events.  She will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Clara Gross; and one sister, Marlene Altemueller.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Buscher of Washington; two children: Jennifer Plessner and husband Jon of O'Fallon, and Jason Buscher and wife Dawn of St. Louis; four grandchildren: Devin Plessner, Brooke Plessner, Joshua Plessner, and Ian Buscher; one brother, Michael Gross and wife Sharon of West Plains; one sister, Mary "Fritz" Alferman of Washington; and many other relatives and friends.
