Jean Francis Smith (Mullenschlader), 60, of Union, passed away Saturday November 16, 2019 at her home.

On October 17, 1959 in St. Louis, Jean was born to the union of Francis Mullenschlader and Eve (Sobocinski).

Jean was united in marriage on May 12, 1984 in St. Louis to David Smith.

She loved watching reality television, some of her favorite shows were The Golden Girls, Snapped and Keeping up with the Kardashians to name a few. Jean also enjoyed gambling, going out to eat and shopping. She was also a St. Louis Cardinals fan as well as a St. Louis Blues fan.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Eve Mullenschlader; two sisters, Veronica Bangert and Peggie Datillo; mother-in-law, Laverne Smith; Aunt, Margaret Mullenschlader; niece, Laurie Jackson and nephew, Matthew Datillo.

Jean is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Smith of Union; one son, D.J. Smith and wife Courtney and their daughter Savannah Jo Smith of Washington; one daughter, Erica Bird and husband A.J. of O'Fallon; three brothers, Joseph Mullenschlader and wife Irene of Maryville, IL, Michael Mullenschlader and wife Linda of O'Fallon and Patrick Mullenschlader and wife Barbara of Fenton; two sisters, Teresa Belcher and husband Gary of Dardenne Prairie and Michele Mullenschlader of Union; one aunt, LaVerne Nowak of St. Charles; three cousins, Debbie Lammering, Karen Kipper and Robert Nowak all of St. Charles; two brothers-in-law, Bob Bangert and Mark Datillo; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
