Jean Elisa Schafer of Pacific, MO passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2021 with her family by her side.

Jean was born on September 26, 1943 in Green Island, IA to Raymond and Gladys (Meyer) Schultz.

After graduating from Preston High School she married Jack Henningsen and had one daughter, Lisa.

Later she married David Schafer and gained two step-children Leah and Tavis.

Jean enjoyed teaching ballroom dancing and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a talented seamstress and fiber artist, she also took great pride in decorating her homes.  Jean was welcomed by David's graduating class of Clinton High as an honorary classmate.  Jean and David, enjoyed having a good time and made many friends during their time living in Preston, Iowa, La Vergne, TN and Pacific, MO.

Jean will be forever remembered by her husband, David; daughter; Lisa (Scott); stepdaughter, Leah (Paul); granddaughter, Bailey; grandsons, Nathan and Nicholas; her brother, Neil; mother-in-law, Martha and brothers-in-law, John (Lynnea) and Fred (Sally).

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Gladys, siblings; Alan, Geralyn, Janice, Reynold and Linda and stepson Tavis.

A heartfelt thank you to Alternative Hospice, Fenton, MO for the end of life care given to Jean in her final days.  A special note of gratitude to Jennifer Love, Allison Haupt, Shirley Sheldon and Jayne Marking for the love, care and support they extended to Jean and her family.
