Janet C. Murphy nee Holder, 65, of St. Clair passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 in St. Clair.

Mrs. Murphy daughter of the late Al Holder and wife Helen nee McSwain was born November 18, 1943 in Harding, Arkansas.

She was a member of the VFW Post and American Legion Post 347 both in St. Clair.

Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Helen Holder.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Murphy and wife Tina of St. Louis and Michael Murphy of St. Clair; two daughters, Carlene Janette and husband Douglas of St. Louis and Cindy Martin of St. Clair; one brother, Mickey Holder and wife Gloria of Florida; three sisters, Sharon Cook of St. Louis, Virginia Abbott of Florida and Gail Goldman of Las Vegas, Nevada; eleven grandchildren; one great- grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
