Janet Kay Hofmeister nee Current, 68 of Union passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Washington. Mrs. Hofmeister, daughter of the late William Current and wife Mary nee Vest was born March 4, 1947 in Sullivan. Mrs. Hofmeister was of the Christian Faith and member of New Chapel Hill Church in Sullivan. She was employed at Brown Shoe Company on the production line for 25 years. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, reading and games. She especially liked to attend meat shoots. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends every chance she could. Mrs. Hofmeister was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Current. She is survived by one son, Steve Hofmeister and wife Annette of Leslie; two daughters, Mary Hofmeister of Jonesburg and Linda Guevara and husband Jaime of Union; one sister, Brenda DeClue and husband Denny of Union; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
