James "Lonnie" Lane, 76, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home.
James, son of Randall Lee Lane and wife Irene (Smith) was born June 10, 1945 in Iola, Kansas.
On November 27, 1965 he was united in marriage to Jane Peters in Krakow, Missouri.
James served his country in the United States Army along with six years with the Missouri National Guard receiving an honorable discharge for his service.
He graduated from St. Louis Christian College with a Master's Degree in Ministry. He went on to serve as full-time and part-time Pastor for many churches throughout his life.
He was a member of the American Legion as well as the Eternal Promises Church both in St. Clair.
As a lead singer and bass guitar player he made music his career and passion. In his spare time, he enjoyed the open road on his Harley.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Randell and Irene Lane; his daughter, Cynthia Diane Lamberton; one brother, Alan Lane and one sister, Janice Young.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Lane of St. Clair; four children, Jennifer Christine Nunn and husband Phillip of St. Clair, Timothy James Lane and girlfriend Joy Luke of St. Clair, Amanda Jane Amburgy of Moselle and Toni Michelle Williams and husband Dennis II of O'Fallon, MO; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the family are preferred.
