James "Jim" A. Donovan, 69, of Union passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Fenton.

Mr. Donovan, son of Patrick Donovan and Anne Blank was born April 14, 1949 in St. Louis.

Jim proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era as support services in Germany. He was a member of the O'Brien Post 177 the American Legion. He was also a member of VFW Post 5468, Eureka, MO.

He had 28 years of service as a Railroad Conductor for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad where he retired.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Donovan; two sisters, Janice Lane and Christine Donovan and one nephew, Eric Schantz.

He is survived by his wife Diana Donovan of Union; his mother Anne Blank of Lake St. Louis; one sister, Patrice Schantz of Lake St. Louis; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to the American Lung Association are preferred.
