Obituary

James Oscar Brock, 90 of Villa Ridge passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at his home. Mr. Brock, son of William Brock and wife Edith nee Myrtle was born May 21, 1924 in Memphis, Tennessee. On June 21, 1947 he was united in marriage to Albertine Barrey in Paris France. Mr. Brock proudly served his country in the United States Army and reenlisted in the United States Air Force reaching the rank of Sergeant. His wartime service included WWII in Normandy and the Korean War. We was employed at the Colonial Bread Company in Marianna, Arkansas where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Mr. Brock of was of the Christian Faith and attended the First Baptist Church of Villa Ridge. Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith Brock; one brother, Proctor Brock and two sisters, Edith O'Manning and Mildred Brock. He is survived by his wife Albertine Brock of Villa Ridge; three daughters, Denise Baker of Germantown, TN., Barbara Schaefer and husband Kerry of Villa Ridge and Claudette Hunter and husband Tim of Fort Smith, AR.; one brother, Marvin Brock of Little Rock, AR.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
