Jack Lee Powell, 74, of St. Clair passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his home surrounded by family.

Jack, son of Harold Powell and wife Violet (Knepper) was born February 15, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa.

On October 14, 1977 he was united in marriage to Diana Sue Jones in Branson, Missouri.

As a young man Jack was raised in El Dorado Springs, Missouri.

Jack honorably served his country in the United States Navy serving two tours in Vietnam.

For over twenty years Jack worked in car sales and finance management in addition to being in the Laborers Union. During his retirement he became an over the road truck driver where he enjoyed traveling the country.

In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Violet Powell; his wife, Diana Sue Powell; three brothers, Gearold Powell, Merlin Powell and Bill Powell; three sisters, Sherri Powell, Phyillis Loux and Lois Hart; grandson, Jack Powell and daughter-in-law, Angela Powell.

He is survived by three sons, Mark Powell of St. Clair, Larry Powell of Union, and Shawn Powell and wife Annie Wischmeyer of Kent, OH; two daughters, Stacey Powell of Washington and Missy Powell (Adam Siess) of St. Clair; three sisters, Virginia Pearson and husband Ronald of Lake Creek, TX, Elizabeth Headley of Buffalo, and Kay Callaway of Carthage; seven grandsons, Evan Powell, Blake Powell, Mason Powell, Hayden Schiller, Zachary Powell, Tyler Powell and Emmett Siess; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Wounded Warrior Project are preferred.
