Jack Lansford, 76 of Sullivan passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Lansford, son of the late Edwin Lansford and wife Goldie nee Vandegriffe was born July 8, 1934 in Missouri.

On June 23, 1956 he was united in marriage to June Duncan in Owensville. Mr. Lansford was employed at Chrysler for 35 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the National Cutting Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association, Missouri Team Sorting Association and Team Penning Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Goldie Lansford; sister- in-law, Cindy Lansford and brother-in-law, Don Duncan.

Mr. Lansford is survived by his wife, June Lansford of Sullivan; two sons, Dan Lansford and wife Sarah of Sullivan and Dennis Lansford and wife Diane of Union; three brothers, Eddie Lansford of Warrenton, Don Lansford and wife Kathy of Gerald and Tom Lansford and wife Vi of Union; eight grandchildren, Jesse Lansford, Nate Lansford, Justin Lansford, Nick Lansford and wife Jeanna, Casey Lansford, Devan Lansford, Kelly Nevills and Kelly Russell; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
