Jack Lewis Dennis of New Haven, MO passed away peacefully Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 85 years.  Jack was born July 11, 1939, in St. Louis, MO; the son of Henry Dennis and his wife, Margaret (Woerther).

Jack was united in marriage to Joan (Scott) on May 2, 1959, and the couple was blessed with four children. The couple owned and operated High Ridge Thriftway Grocery store from 1960 to 1984 in High Ridge, MO. Jack was a member of Holy Family Parish – Port Hudson.  He was an avid hunter, especially duck hunting.  He loved living in the country where he could birdwatch.  The time Jack cherished most was the time spent with his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret Dennis; one brother, James Dennis; and one brother-in-law, Leroy Luck.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joan Dennis of New Haven; four children: Leo Dennis of Olivette, Jackie Gambill and husband Andrew of Cedar Hill, Ann Althoff and husband John of Chesterfield, and Nancy Frein and significant other, Bill Wilson of Ballwin; one sister, Patricia Luck of High Ridge; ten grandchildren: David Dennis, Daniel (Bernadette) Dennis, Dasha Dennis, Sarah Dennis, Matthew Gambill, Nicole (Daniel) Golden, Allison Althoff, John Althoff, Mary Kate Althoff, and Andrew Frein; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Due to holiday decorations and spatial limitations at the church, the family has asked in lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Jack Dennis be made to the American Heart Association.
