Obituary

Iris Logan Rice, 90, of St. Louis passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021 in Maryland Heights.

Iris, son of Robert Rice and wife Ruth (Fox) was born January 28, 1931 in Farmington.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Draby and shared over thirty years together.

Iris served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 reaching rank of Corporal. After his military service he drove an oil truck and later landed a job with Wonder Bread where he was employed until he retired after thirty years.

He enjoyed fishing on the river, fish fries, watching wrestling events on T.V. and country music.

Iris was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Rice; his wife Shirley Rice; four brothers, David Rice, Bob Rice, Tom Rice and Herbert Rice and one sister in infancy.

He is survived by his daughter, Anna Storz and husband Mike of St. Louis; one brother, Ralph Rice of Jackson; three grandchildren, Cindy Wyman and husband Jon of Hillsboro, Christopher Stacy and wife Angieline of St. Louis and Nikki Lovelette and husband James of St. Louis; five great-grandchildren, Jadia, Nathan, Paige, Mahia and Aliya; one great-great-grandson M.J.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial donations to the American Lung Association are preferred.
