Irene "Sally" Montalbano (Guittar), 95, of St. Clair, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at St. Clair Nursing Center.

On February 26, 1926, Sally was born to the union of Charles Guittar and Antoinette (Tierney) in St. Louis.

Sally was loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being outdoors going on picnics and fishing. Later in life, Sally loved going out for a walk and catching garage sales. Most importantly, Sally loved her family and spending time with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Antoinette Guittar; four brothers, Eugene "Boots" Guittar, Charles Guittar, Edward Guittar and John Guittar; sister, Mary "Sis" Clewis; three sisters-in-law, Sarah Duerbusch, Catherine "Katie" Montalbano and Rose Weiss; husband, Charles Montalbano.

Sally is survived by her son, Michael Montalbano and wife Patti of Montgomery City; daughter, Charlene Elfrank and husband Larry of St. Clair; eight grandchildren, Jake Montalbano and wife Rebecca of Florida, Anthony "Tony" Montalbano and significant other Samantha Eversole of Washington, Joseph "Joey" Montalbano of Montgomery City, Stacey "Nikki" Driy and husband John of Hazelwood, Michael Montalbano of Maplewood, Jeff Cannon and wife Marta of Kansas, Dawn Cannon of Idaho and Michael Cannon and wife Caitlin of Crestwood; sisters-in-law, Barb Guittar, Jane Guittar, Pat Guittar and Thelma Guittar; twenty three great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
