Irene Armistead nee German, 82, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in Washington.

Mrs. Armistead, daughter of the late Jess German and wife Melvina nee Watts was born May 16, 1934 in Union.

On June 1, 1951, she was united in marriage to Cecil Clayton Armistead.

She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, games and watching John Wayne movies.

She was a member of Parkway Church of the Nazarene in St. Clair.

Mrs. Armistead was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Melvina German; her husband, Cecil Clayton Armistead; her son, Clayton Armistead and three brothers, Les German, Wilson German and Bill German.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Glenn Armistead and wife Kristen of St. Clair and Leslie Whitley and husband Ryan of Hollister, MO; three great-grandchildren, Paul Armistead, Cody Armistead and Savannah Armistead; other relatives and many friends.
