Ingeborg Christa Cowsert (Klawiskofsky), 87, of St. Clair passed away Saturday January 9, 2021.
On December 21, 1933 Ingeborg was born to the union of Max Julius Klawiskofsky and Anna Emma (Meyer) in Berlin, Germany.
On September 1, 1952 Ingeborg was united in marriage to the late Charles L. Cowsert.
Ingeborg worked for Missouri Knife Co. in St. Clair and would retire after 20 plus years.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and drawing gnomes and mushrooms. She loved to watch Jeopardy and complete crossword puzzles and pogo games. For years Ingeborg cherished being able to get together with Oma's German Coffee Clutch to reminisce about life in Germany. Most of all she loved her family very much and looked forward to spending time with everyone.
Ingeborg was preceded in death by her parents, Max Julius and Anna Emma Klawiskofsky; her husband, Charles Cowsert; two children, Charlie Cowsert and Donnie Cowsert; one brother, Heinz Klawiskofsky; one sister, Karen Carlino; one granddaughter, Alesia Cowsert.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Cowsert of St. Clair and Steve Cowsert and wife Mindy of Cuba; three daughters, Christine Gibson and husband Bob of St. Clair, Rhonda Cowsert and fiancé Ron Nix of Florida and Kim Cowsert of St. Clair; one brother, Johnnie Klawiskofsky of Florida; one sister, Ulla Kuster of Germany; eighteen grandchildren, Shawn, Chad, Christopher (Ashley), Angie (Brian), Amy, Justin (Megan), Jeremy (Julie), Davianne (Brad), Robbie (Melissa), Nick, Heather (Dave), Heidi (Ricky), Christa, Chassidy (Matt), Steve (Kelly), Jeffrey (Brittany), Michael (Megan), and thought of by Oma as her youngest daughter, Camry; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
