Ilene (Anderson) Gable of St. Clair, MO passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at the age of 95 years.  Ilene was born January 28, 1929, in Cleveland, OH; the daughter of David Anderson and his wife, Margaret (McGregor).

Ilene was united in marriage to Joe Gable on January 17, 1946, in Pickneyville, IL.  and two children blessed their union.  She worked at various jobs over the years, which included volunteering for the ambulance district, a nurse in both the emergency room at Mercy Hospital and Dr. T.J. Mitchell's office for 17 years, selling real estate, and Deb Shoe Factory.  Ilene was also a past member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary #347.  She was a kind, gentle person who always thought of others before herself.  She never met a stranger and loved everyone she met.  Ilene was an amazing mother whose family was the most important thing to her, and she will be missed by all.

Ilene was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gable; her parents, David and Margaret Anderson; four brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by two children: Sandra Marks and husband Chuck of St. Clair, and Joe Gable and wife Becky of Union; two grandsons: Chris Marks and wife Julie of OH, and Josh Gable and wife Tanya of St. Clair; one sister, Evelyn Klenke and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
