Huby Cleveland Simpson Jr., age 77, of Leslie, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026. He was born November 1, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Huby Cleveland Simpson Sr. and Alma (Roberts) Simpson.

Huby dedicated much of his working life to serving others as a firefighter and paramedic with the Metro West Fire Department in Ballwin. He was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Union.

Huby enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, traveling, singing and playing the guitar, and spending time working on his tractor and caring for his property. He will be remembered for his warm smile, kind heart, and the many lives he touched through his work and friendships.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Simpson of Leslie; his sons, Travis "T.J." (Adria) Simpson of St. Louis, Shawn (Laurie) Monjaraz of Cuba, and Michael Monjaraz of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren, Austin Monjaraz and Torey Monjaraz; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Mary) Simpson and Chuck (Carol) Simpson; and sisters, Anna (Leonard) Daves and Betty Jean (Earl) Rice. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Huby was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie Simpson (2010), and his second wife, Monita Simpson (2019).

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 882 Highway 47, Union, Missouri 63084. Services are currently pending.

Huby will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
