Jr.

Harry Herbert, Jr., of Gerald, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born in St. Louis on May 19, 1944, to the union of Harry Herbert, Sr., and his wife, Bertha (Cox) Herbert.
In 1966, just short of his 22nd birthday, Harry was drafted and inducted into the United States Army, serving in Vietnam as a radio operator until his honorable discharge in 1968. After serving his country, he went on to be an electrician for St. Louis County, where he worked for over thirty years until his retirement.
Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing in the local rivers, and anything he could do outdoors. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Herbert, Sr., and Bertha Herbert; one son, Johnny Ray Herbert; two sisters, Kay Janish and Mary Rieser; and one brother-in-law, Wayne Janish.
Harry is survived by his son, Brian Herbert and Holly McDaniel, of Gerald; grandchildren, Audrey Rose and husband Kalib, of Canaan, Makayla Reeves, of Gerald, Joseph Herbert, of Gerald, Angelica Herbert, of Gerald, and Sapphria Herbert, of Gerald; great-grandchildren, Amelia Robison, Evangeline Robison, and expecting the birth of Roman Rose in December; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
The family is planning a private inurnment with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis at a later date.
