Harrison "Gene" Pierson, 85 of Tye, Texas passed away Friday, October 5, 2012 in Abilene, Texas.

Mr. Pierson, son of the late James Pierson Sr. and wife Eileen nee Woodcock was born September 16, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force until his retirement after 23 years.

On December 7, 1956 he was united in marriage to Judith Harrell in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Judith Pierson and his brother, James M. Pierson Jr.

Mr. Pierson is survived by two sons, Harrison Pierson Jr. of Abilene, Texas and James Pierson of Tye Texas; three daughters, Mary Pierson of Romulus, Michigan, Theresa Day and husband Doug of Chula Vista, California and Diane Matthews and husband Tim of Abilene, TX; one brother, Donald Pierson of St. Charles; four sister, Iris Daniher of Torrance, CA, Lorayn Sexton of North Hollywood, CA, Delores Eplin of St. Louis and Bonnie McCarthy of Lone Pine, CA ; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends.
