Harold “Bo” Tiehes, 93, of Catawissa, passed away at Washington on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was born in Perryville on February 10, 1933, to Vallie Robert and Euphemia A. (Estel) Tiehes.

Bo, as he was known to family and friends, entered the U.S. Army at the age of twenty and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. Shortly after his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, he married the love of his life, Mildred Jenz, on May 7, 1955, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Overland. They shared sixty-seven years of marriage before her passing in 2022.

He was employed early in life as a printer, working for Pacific Printing and later changing careers by working as a loader for Cassen’s Transport Company at the Chrysler facility in Fenton for over twenty years prior to his retirement.

Bo loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and trout fishing at Stockton and Roaring Rivers State Parks when he had the time. He was a member of the Cedar Hill Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Tiehes; his parents Vallie and Euphemia Tiehes; one sister, Marilyn Tiehes; two brothers, Estel “Ab” Tiehes, Rudy Tiehes; one great-grandson, Caleb Ball.

Bo is survived by three sons, Mike Tiehes and wife Ann of Thailand, Mark Tiehes and wife Rachel of Lonedell, Doug Tiehes and wife Rhonda of Villa Ridge; seven grandchildren, Brian, Crystal, Dawn, Matthew, Stephanie, Amy and Bradly; twenty great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
