Harold C. Bass, 85 of Union passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 in Union.

Mr. Bass, son of the late Ray Bass and wife Ora nee Watkins was born August 22, 1930 Jonesboro, Illinois.

On February 5, 1949 he was united in marriage to Barbara Toler in Piggott, Arkansas.

He received the Efficiency Award from International Shoe Company and the Southern Gospel Music Appreciation Award in 2006 the first award ever given out by Bob Dudley.

He was a Charter member of the Grace Baptist Church in Union.

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Ora Bass; his wife Barbara Bass; three brothers, Charles Bass, Bill Bass and Robert Bass and one sister, Imojean Bass.

He is survived by two sons, Harold Ray Bass and wife Barb of Pawnee, Il and Danny Paul Bass and wife Debbie of St. Clair, Mo; one daughter, Vicki Jo Howard and husband Richard of Union;  6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
