Hal Major, 76 of Union passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Major, son of the late Cledis Major and wife Gertrude nee Mounts was born December 26, 1935 in Salem.

On April 12, 1958 he was united in marriage to Geraldine Major Conaway in Salem, Missouri.

He was a driver for Washington Ready Mix until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gerladine Major; his parents, Cledis and Gertrude Major; two brothers, Walter Major and Bill Major and one sister, Betty Major.

Mr. Major is survived by two sons, Lendy Major and wife Kristin of Union and Terrence G. Major and wife Audra of Union; two brothers, Jerry Major and wife Diane of Boss, MO and Bob Major and wife Nancy of Salem; three sisters, Norma Ellerbee of Salem, Bonnie Horstmann and husband Ronnie of Hermann and Sonja Nash of Salem; seven grandchildren, Tony Major and wife Beth, Shaun Major, Terrence Major, Timmy Major, Jesse Major, Sarah Major and John Major; four great-grandchildren, Tabitha Major, Emma Major, Jackson Major and Landon Major; other relatives and many friends.
