Guy Shafferkoetter, 74 of Union passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at his home.

Mr. Shafferkoetter, son of the late Guy Shafferkoetter, Sr. and wife Pearl nee Lalk was born October 2, 1935 in Gerald, Missouri.

He served his country in the United State Air force and received an honorable discharge.

Mr. Shafferkoetter was employed at Mc Donnell Douglas Aircraft as a plant engineer until his retirement.

He was a faithful member of the Union Baptist Temple Church.

Mr. Shafferkoetter was preceded in death by his parents, Guy, Sr. and Pearl Shafferkoetter.

He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Derr and husband Jerry of Union; his son, Jubal Shafferkoetter of Jefferson City; one sister, Sondra Kluba and husband Glennon of Leslie; one brother, Charles Shafferkoetter of Union; four grandchildren, Joshua Adam Wedel and fiancé Wendy Brian of Vermont, Lindsay Jo Mahn and husband Jerry of Imperial, Lionel G. Peterson of Gerald and Rebecca Feltmann and husband Matthew of Washington; five great-grandchildren, Avery Iant́he Lennon Peterson, Riley Elizabeth Peterson, Gibson Robert Peterson, Kaimi Navarro Peterson and Olivia Grace "Iya" Mahn; nieces; other relatives and many friends.
