In loving remembrance of Gregory "GP" Levi Pointer, 50, who passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at his home in Leslie, after battling cancer. Greg was born Nov. 24, 1964, in Washington, to William and Janet Pointer. He was united in marriage to Judith Marie Helderman. His life's work was dedicated to raising his daughters, his 29-year career at M&R Plating, Washington, spending time outdoors with friends and family, four-wheeling and barbecuing. Greg always extended his hand to help others, never expecting anything in return. He lived his life with strong Christian morals. Greg is survived by his two daughters, April Marie Helderman and partner Jacob Wideman, and Samantha Ann Pointer and partner T.J. Hueston; his mother and stepfather, Janet Ann and Tommy Russell McDowell; two brothers, Kevin Wayne Pointer and Jeffrey Harvey Pointer; one sister, Michelle Lynn Pointer; and two granddaughters, Nora Kaelei Wideman and Makena Rose Wideman. He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Pointer; his grandparents, Levi and Wilma "Jean" Williams, and Harvey and Gladys Pointer; and one aunt, Virginia Beck.
