Grace L. Curtis nee Hill, 88, of Union passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at her home.

Grace, daughter of Epps Hill and wife Fanny (Robinson) was born July 25, 1930 in Holly Grove, Arkansas.

On February 14, 1948 she was united in marriage to Reverend James Curtis in Piggott, AR.

James and Grace founded and Pastored Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Times Beach and Eureka. At Life Christian School in Fenton she held the position of Librarian. Grace was a long-time volunteer at Crosspoint Christian School in Villa Ridge and volunteer at Mercy Hospital.

Grace dedicated her life to the Lord and her family, leaving the legacy of a great encourager and example to others.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Epps and Fanny Hill; her husband, Reverend James Curtis; one son, James "Rick" Curtis; one daughter, Shirley Curtis; one brother, E.J. Hill; one sister, Lovelle Arnhart and son-in-law, Bill Bokan.

She is survived by six children, Karen Bokan of Eureka, Sharon Rodgers and husband Leonard of Eureka, Larry Curtis and wife Trina of House Springs, Kim Brand and husband Kenny of Granite City, IL, Patti Nantz and husband Bob of Union and Jeff Curtis of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, Anthony Rodgers, Elisabeth Houseknecht and husband Stephen, Christopher Curtis, Derek Curtis, Nathan Brand and wife Britni, Becky Jones and husband Kyle and A.J. Nantz; three great-grandchildren, James Houseknecht, Joanna Houseknecht and Lucia Jones; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
