Gordon A. Schutte, 75, of Lonedell, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 in St. Louis.

On July 2, 1945 Gordon was born to the union of James Schutte and Christeen (Shaffer) in St. Louis.

Gordon proudly served his country for 21 years in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Eagles in St. Clair, Elks Lodge of St. Clair, American Legion of St. Clair, VFW in Desoto and AMVETS.

Gordon thoroughly enjoyed cars and music; especially Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings to name a few favorite artists.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Christeen Schutte; daughter, Victoria Schutte; sister, Diane Voyles.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Christeen Rock and husband Jason of Virginia; four brothers, Ronnie Schutte and wife Jane of Dittmer, Mike Schutte of Dittmer, Jim Schutte of Lonedell and David Schutte of St. Clair; three sisters, Margaret Schutte of Gray Summit, Stella Wideman and husband Greg of Richwoods and Debbie Simpson of Hillsboro; one grandson, Alexander Rock and wife Amanda of Virginia; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
