Glenn Ray Bartel of Beaufort, MO was born March 2, 1948 in Washington, MO; the son of Herbert Bartel and his wife, Elda (Runge).  Glenn passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at the age of 76 years.

He received his education from Union High School, graduating with the class of 1966.  Glenn worked as an auto body technician with Bartel Auto Body until his retirement.  He was very much an outdoorsman, and loved hunting, fishing, and camping.  He also enjoyed fixing things and always had a project going.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Elda Bartel; and one granddaughter, Ashley Eilers.

He is survived by three children: Gary Bartel and wife Chrystal of Leslie; Sheila Helling and husband Gary of Union, and Donna Eilers and husband Paul of Gerald; one brother, Wayne Bartel and wife Janice of Union; seven grandchildren: Alicia Midkiff and husband Clayton, Heather Ryerson and husband Jason, Heidi Stahlman and fiancé Joseph Lolli, Aidan Eilers, Travis Helling, Wyatt Bartel, and Cheyanne Bartel; seven great-grandchildren: Kira Duffer, Brylee Ryerson, Caleb Midkiff, Jerren Ryerson, Jareth Strubberg, Levi Ryerson, and Greyson Miller; and many other relatives and friends.

A private family committal service will take place at Midlawn Memorial Gardens in Union, MO.

Memorials in honor of Glenn Bartel can be made to the American Cancer Society.
