Gilbert Ray Rowden, 68, of St. Clair passed away Wednesday November 4, 2020 at his home.

On October 26, 1952 Gilbert was born to the union of Jewel Rowden and Virginia (Schryock) in Fenton.

Gilbert attended Northwest High School in House Springs.

On December 30, 1972 Gilbert was united in marriage to Betty (Baughman) in Valley Park.

Gilbert enjoyed riding around on his lawnmower cutting the grass, hunting and horseback riding. He also had a love for cats. Most of all Gilbert loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel and Virginia Rowden; one brother, Robert Rowden; two sisters, Susie Kay Black and Anna Ploudre.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Betty Rowden of St. Clair; four sons, Patrick Rowden of St. Clair, Casey Rowden of St. Clair, Samuel Rowden of St. Clair and Joshua Rowden of St. Clair; two daughters, Katie Baumann and husband Nathan of St. Clair and Sarah Rowden of St. Clair; two sisters, Lois Sanders of Sullivan and Debbie Crosby of Ellington; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
