George Wockenfuss Sr., 80 of Owensville, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Wockenfuss, son of the late William Edward Wockenfuss and wife Margaret Katherine nee Maggie was born March 23, 1931 in Baltimore Maryland.

On November 4, 1967 he was united in marriage to Bertha Marie Kimes in Edwardsville, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by one son, Wade Ray Breeden; his parents, William and Margaret Wockenfuss; three brothers, Harry Wockenfuss, David Edward Wockenfuss and William Emil Wockenfuss; three sisters, Gertrude Wockenfuss, Ida Wockenfuss, and Catherine Lee Wockenfuss.

Mr. Wockenfuss is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bertha Marie Wockenfuss of Owensville; four sons, George Harry Wockenfuss Junior and wife Debby of Desoto, Martin Robert Wockenfuss and wife Julie of Owesnville, David James Breeden and wife Debbie of Gasconade and Danny Ross Breeden and wife Barbara of Owensville; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Tucker of Owensville; one brother, Martine "Marty" Wockenfuss of Cloverdale, California; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. Private services were held.
