Wiemann
August 3, 1943 – February 27, 2023
George F. Wiemann of Union, MO was born August 3, 1943 in St. Louis, MO; the son of George Wiemann Sr. and his wife, Hazel (Craft). George passed away Monday, February 27, 2023 at the age of 79 years. He was united in marriage to Karen (Zatorski) on May 26, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV. and the couple made their home in Union. George was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Union. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the Patriot Guard. He worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Ballwin for 30+ years before retirement. George loved to travel, horseback ride, golf, and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and could bring a smile to anyone. He will be greatly missed.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hazel Wiemann Sr.; one sister, Frances Kramer; son-in-law, David Beck; and daughter-in-law, Gail Wiemann.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Wiemann of Union; one son, Dan Wiemann of Arnold; one daughter, Tammy Wiemann of Imperial; stepdaughter, Trisha Beck of Union; one brother, Jim Wiemann and wife Mickie of St. Louis; one sister, Marcia Dickerson and husband Marvin of Catawissa; grandchildren: Jackie Gerner, Michael Gerner, and David Faifer; one great-granddaughter, Aurora Faifer; and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the DeSoto School District honoring the Gail Wiemann Memorial DC Scholarship. (610 Vineland School Dr. DeSoto, MO 63020).
