George Russell, 64 of Union passed away Wednesday, April, 22, 2009 at his home.

Mr. Russell, son of James Russell and wife Mildred nee Mathis was born October 25, 1944 in St. Louis.

On April 10, 1965 he was united in marriage to Melba McFalls in Waterloo, Illinois.

Mr. Russell was a Certified Welder and worked at Ameren UE until his retirement in 2001.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Ridge.

Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his father, James Russell and infant brother James Charles Russell.

He is survived by his wife Melba Russell of Union; one son Doug Russell and wife Pam of Union; two daughters, Amy Hauk and husband James of Wentzville and Tiffany Reiker and husband Brad of Sullivan; his mother, Mildred Russell - Abright of Union; one brother, Robert Russell of Union; one sister, Elaine George and husband Bryan of Hendersonville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Caylee Russell, Leah Russell, Josh Hauk, Adeline Hauk, Brad Reiker, James Reiker, Tori Reiker; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
