Clines
December 16, 1930 – March 14, 2022
George Louis Clines was born on the 16 th day of December, 1930, in Union, Missouri to Seaburn and Velma (nee Richardson) Clines. He passed away on March 14 th , 2022 in Washington Missouri at the age of 91 years.
He received his education in Union and then briefly served in the army in 1949. After his military service, he began to work with his dad, installing telephone lines across the country. George would work for Southwestern Bell telephone company from 1954 until his retirement in 1986. One of his many accomplishments would be to not take a sick day in 32 years of service!
His job would take him all over the United States, including to Texas where he met the love of his life. George was united in marriage to Naomi Sparkman on March 15 th , 1952. After several years of traveling for work, the couple made their home in Union, Missouri. Their marriage was blessed with two children.
George enjoyed fishing, spending time with his friends, Cardinals baseball, and woodworking. He had been a member in good-standing at the Masonic Lodge in Union since 1965 and also a member of the local First Baptist Church.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Velma and Seaburn Clines, sister Joann Staggemeier, brother-in-law Sonny Staggemeier, brother-in-law Lee Risse, son Steve Clines, and his loving wife of almost 70 years, Naomi.
He is survived by one son, Rickey Clines and partner Malcom of New Mexico, brother Jim Clines and wife Norma of New Haven, brother Richard Clines of Beaufort, sister Donna Risse of Robertsville, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Home to Home Canine Orphanage.
