November 18, 1963 – February 8, 2025
Gary Lynn McClard, of Lonedell, passed away in his home on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on November 18, 1963, in St. Louis City to his mother, Gloria (Crites) Potter.
Gary proudly served in both the United States Navy and Army, demonstrating his commitment to service. After his military career, he pursued his passion for caretaking by completing a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program at Sanford Brown College and provided geriatric care at various area nursing homes and healthcare facilities.

He was an avid collector favoring antique farm equipment, with a special interest in oil lamps, and held a deep appreciation of Native American culture. But more than anything, he cherished time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria (Crites) Potter; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Hazel Crites; two siblings, David Nolan and infant sister Sharon.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of over 33 years, Tina McClard of Lonedell; son, Lance Mathis and wife Sammy of Villa Ridge; daughters: Hannah Goodwin and husband J.B. of Lonedell, and Emily McClard of Lonedell; brother, Sherrill Potter and wife Jamie of Arkansas; sister, Jeannie Lawrence and husband Tim of Arkansas; sister in-laws: Joan Friend, Charlene Clinton, and Patricia Houston of Lonedell; grandchildren: L.J.
