Gary Lowder, 49, of Union passed away, Saturday, November 15, 2008 in St. Louis.

Mr. Lowder, son of Charles Lowder and wife Marilyn nee Deja was born November 7, 1959 at South Haven, Michigan.

On November 21, 1981 he was united in marriage to Roxanne Sliter at the Church of Christ in Bangor, Michigan.

Mr. Lowder worked in Metrology for 20 years, improving the way Quality Inspections Departments ran for many companies. He started and led the Celebrate Recovery Ministries at the First Christian Church in Union.

Mr. Lowder was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Lowder.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Lowder of Union; one son, Vince Lowder and wife Becky of St. Clair; one daughter, Amy Peters and husband John of Washington; two brothers, Steven Lowder and wife Angie of Bangor Michigan and Robert Lowder of Bangor, Michigan; one sister, Carol Read and husband Verne of Lansing, Michigan; four grandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie, Olivia and Dominic; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
