Fred Recsnik, 76, of Union formerly of St. Louis passed away, Saturday, June 20, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Recsnik, son of Jacob and Rose Zimmerman was born October 4, 1943 in St. Louis.

On January 24, 1969 he was united in marriage to Susan Murphy in Webster Groves.

Fred enjoyed cooking and serving others. He had an extraordinarily strong work ethic and was always a good provider.

Mr. Recsnik was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Rose Zimmerman; his adopted parents, Fred and Helen Recsnik and one sister, Trudy "Cookie" Yunek.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Recsnik of Union; two sons, Steven Recsnik and wife Rebecca of Union and Kevin Recsnik of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Mallory Recsnik, Grace Recsnik, Zachary Recsnik and Logan Recsnik; other relatives and many friends.
