Obituary

Floyd E. Hawkins, 70, of St. Clair, passed away, Monday, November 2, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

On June 24, 1950 in St. Clair, Floyd was born to the union of George Hawkins and Lillian (Wilkin).

Floyd attended St. Clair School District.

On March 18, 1972 Floyd was united in marriage to Ethel (Werley) in St. Clair.

Floyd was a proud employee for Clyde Generally, working on a Sanitation Truck.

He enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. Floyd was always on the move and tinkering around on lawnmowers, cars, trucks and tractors. He enjoyed singing and spending valuable time with his grandchildren. Floyd very much loved his family.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillian Hawkins and great-grandson, Shane Hawkins Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Hawkins of St. Clair; two sons, James Hawkins of St. Clair and Marty Light of Villa Ridge; five daughters, Robin Dace and husband Sean of St. Clair, Charlene Hawkins of St. Clair, Michelle Crowley and husband Mark of St. Clair, Marsha Crider and significant other Christopher Hamilton of St. Clair and Wanda Hamilton of St. Clair; one brother, Terry Hawkins of St. Clair; four sisters, Helen Long and husband Frank of St. Clair, Sharon Houston and husband Daryl of Union, Dorothy Hawkins of Desloge and Beulah Berkbigler and husband Butch of St. Clair; fifteen grandchildren, Shane Hawkins Sr. and wife Rhonda of St. Clair, Samantha Hawkins of St. Clair, Stephanie Butler and fiancé Austin Sims of Lonedell, Sean Dace and girlfriend Kathlyn Valley of Bourbon, Brandon Dace of St. Clair, Brenden Dace of St. Clair, Dakota Dace of St. Clair, Stacey Panye and husband Jordan of Centralia, Patric Schaper of Wright City, Tylor Thurman of St. Clair, Adam Thurman of St. Clair, Brennan Hawkins of St. Clair, Tori Hawkins of Bourbon, Noah Hamilton of St. Clair, Creeden Hamilton of St. Clair and Kaden Hess of St. Clair; twenty-one great-grandchildren; special niece and nephew, John "Rowdy" Long of St. Clair and Glenna Courtway of Union; special friends, Betty Hamilton of St. Clair and Glenna Miller of St. Clair; other nieces; nephews; relatives and many friends.
