Florence A. McCormack, 82, of Washington, passed away, Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Mercy Hospital.

On June 19, 1939, Florence was born to the union of Seth Slocum and Erla (Muntzel).

She was a graduate of New Haven High School.

Florence was united in marriage to her late husband, Harold McCormack in 1985.

She volunteered a lot of her time at the Washington Senior Center.

Florence loved playing pinochle. In her younger years she was a proficient bowler. Florence had a love for cats and had many through the years. Most of all Florence loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Seth and Erla Slocum; three brothers, Sonny Slocum, Larry Slocum and Harry Slocum; one sister, Marcia Conley; husband, Harold McCormack; nephew, Gary Slocum.

Florence is survived by her cat, Molina; sister, Kathryn Shoemaker and husband Noel of Swiss; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred the Washington Senior Center.
