Evelyn M. Schink nee Sammet, 95, of Union passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Schink, daughter of the late Fred Sammet and wife Elizabeth nee Hamm was born June 22, 1920 in Union.

Mrs. Schink was baptized as an infant and became a member of Zion U.C.C., Union in 1937. She was a member of Christian Education Classes and member of Prayer Partners.  She loved the Lord and was thankful for many blessings.

She attended Sand Hill School, a one room school for 8 years and graduated from Union High School in 1937.  She was the last survivor of Union High School Class of 1937.

As a Medical Secretary for 42 years, she loved the medical field and working for many local doctors.

On December 14, 1941 she was united in marriage to Karl Schink at Zion U.C.C. in Union.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elizabeth Sammet; her husband, Karl Schink; her son, Dave Schink; two brothers, Raymond Sammet and Melvin Sammet; and sister, Dolores Berger.

Mrs. Schink is survived by her son, John H. Schink and wife Linda of Affton; daughter-in-law, Virginia Kay Schink of Union; three grandchildren, John A. Schink of Affton, Clinton Schink and wife Christy of Union and Brenda Kruse and husband Garry of Union; four great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
